Chaaver opens with a murder which is mostly off-screen at that point. The culprits are led by a ‘party’ arranged goon, Ashokan, played by Kunchacko Boban, who is ruthless in his ways. Then we meet Arun, played by Arjun Ashokan, who is a medical student and is called by one of Boban’s accomplices to help tend to a wound the latter sustained during the murder.
