The film introduces us to Inba, an aspiring filmmaker, who lives with his family in a small town near Dindigul. He spends most of his time writing dramas and staging theatre plays. Kasthuri, his neighbour, falls in love with him, after he helps her stage a play for her college culturals. They belong to different communities, and get married against the wishes of their families. The couple decides to live the rest of their lives in Chennai, as Inba gets the opportunity to work with director Prabu Solomon and Kasthuri joins an IT firm. They are even blessed with a baby girl. When things seem to be going well, a person from Kasthuri’s family decides to take vengeance on Inba! What happens next is the crux.
